In many cases your health insurance will pay at least a portion of the cost of therapy. Depending on your policy, this may vary from complete coverage to a very minimal benefit. Many insurance plans require you to utilize therapists on their approved panel and may also require preauthorization for out-patient mental health benefits. We encourage you to contact your insurance company (utilizing the telephone number on your insurance card for mental health referrals) prior to making your first appointment. This will insure that we are accepted providers for you plan and allow you to obtain preauthorization, if required.. We will also contact and confirm your coverage with your insurance company after our first session. Any help you can provide in determining the limits, co-pay and/or deductibles that apply to your plan, would be appreciated. We currently participate with several managed mental healthcare insurance programs including Magellan Behavioral Health, Aetna Behavioral Health, United Behavioral Healthcare, Mental Health Network (MHN), Tricare, Beech Street, PacifiCare, and CMS Healthcare. In addition, we do accept patients eligible for the Florida State Victims' Compensation Program. We are Medicare providers and "out of network" Blue Cross/Blue Shield providers. Unfortunately, we are not Medicaid providers. Many insurance companies use these and other mental health managed care companies to handle that portion medical insurance coverage. If in any doubt about your insurance benefits regarding treatment with us, contact your insurance company. We are also participants on certain Employee Assistance Programs' panels, especially ones managed by United Behavioral Health, Magellan Behavioral Healthcare, and the Mental Health Network (MHN).
